Scott, Alasdair

Member name: Cenwulf Application to: 16 Air Assault Brigade PERSONAL DETAILS:
Real nameDate of birthLocationNationality Alasdair ScottJanuary, 1989United KingdomBritish
CONFIRM THAT YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING JOINING REQUIREMENTS: I own ArmA3 I own a Microphone I am 18 years of age or older I can meet the 16AA's requirement about no dual clanning I can attend a 3-hour operation every Wednesday and Sunday from 1900 Zulu (in summer) / 2000 Zulu (in winter) I will respond to posts on the forums in a timely fashion I will let the group know when I cannot make scheduled events and post LOAs in a timely fashion I wish to be a contributing and valuable member of this group GAMING AND EXPERIENCE: GAMING AND REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE: * 2+ years experience playing Arma 3 in a cooperative group environment. * Admin responsibilities. * SQF scripting. * Mission making. * Competent transport helicopter pilot. * Have acted successfully as a section commander and platoon commander during operations but prefer a general infantry role. * No real world military experience. PREVIOUS GROUPS: S.O.S - Special Operations: I was with S.O.S almost from the very start being one of the first batches of recruits to apply. I became an admin after ~6 months. During my time there I learned SQF scripting and contributed through mission making and scripting for other members’ missions. After around 18 months with the group I decided to take a break as I needed to concentrate on finding a new job. When I returned a few good members had left due to internal drama within the clan and group’s founders who I had got on well with had largely gone dormant. I stuck around for a while but it just wasn’t the same so I decided to quietly leave. I greatly enjoyed my time with SOS but being a small and inexperienced clan we were never able to stage operations on a scale that we all would have like, event attendance was hard maintain and a lack of dedicated testing meant that there were often delays and problems during weekly events. All in all I decided it was time to seek out a larger more well established group. REASON FOR APPLYING: After being away from Arma for a while I find myself missing the large scale cooperative multiplayer experience that this game has to offer. I enjoy the sense of comradery that comes with pulling off a massive operation and I'm eager to get that back. I had a look through the UK/European based groups and 16AA stood out as one that best matched what I was looking for in a group. I found the website to be very informative and I liked the sound of the atmosphere 16AA aims to create, namely the use of real names. I find that quite refreshing compared to the usual tendency for people in online communities use of a pseudonym, which can sometimes break your immersion while in game. WERE YOU REFERRED TO US: Found while trawling through the official Arma III Units website.
