TIME: 0400L 23RD JUNE 1982
WEATHER: Clear skies, foggy, chance of rain and snow

II.SITUATION
The conflict began on 2 April, when Argentina invaded and occupied the Falkland Islands, followed by the invasion of South Georgia the next day. On 5 April, the British government dispatched a naval task force to engage the Argentine Navy and Air Force before making an amphibious assault on the islands.
We are tasked with reclaiming the capital city of Port Stanley and its outlying hamlets.

i.GROUND
The Falkland Islands have a land area of 4,700 square miles (12,000 km2) and a coastline estimated at 800 miles (1,300 km).
The archipelago consists of two main islands, West Falkland and East Falkland, and about 776 smaller islands. The islands are predominantly mountainous and hilly, with the major exception being the depressed plains of Lafonia (a peninsula forming the southern part of East Falkland). The islands are located in the South Atlantic Ocean, on the Patagonian Shelf, about 300 miles (480 km) east of Patagonia in southern Argentina.

ii.ENEMY FORCES
Known & Suspected En. Positions: As of mid-April it is estimated that the Argentine forces number 10,000 troops.
Strength: 602 Commando Company under Major Aldo Rico. 4th Monte Caseros Infantry Regiment (RI 4) under Lieutenant Colonel Diego Alejandro. Remaining scattered units from the islands already taken areas.
Morale: High.
Weaponry: FAL 7.62, FN MAG, M20 “Super Bazooka” an assortment of WW2 bolt action rifles used in the Sniper role.
IDF: 82mm PODNOS, OTO Melara Mod 56, CITER L33 Guns
Vehicles: None
Aircraft: A4 Skyhawk, Super Étendard.
Mine/IED Threat: SEVERE

iii. ENEMY INTENT
To repel the British forces attempt to reclaim the Islands

iv. FRIENDLY FORCES
2 & 3 Parachute Regiment

III. MISSION
It is the commanders intent to clear the airfield of enemy combatants, capture the Radar building and locate POW's and the missing civilians.

IV. OWN MAIN EFFORT


This will be a 6 phase operation!


Phase 1

1-1, 1-2, 1-3 are to travel east and clear Objective Green (LIVERPOOL). Objective Green(LIVERPOOL) will then be the staging area for supply, and medical. FST are to open up an HLS in the area and assign at least one FAC to HQ.
4-1 will man 81mm mortars and standby as a rapid reaction force.

Phase 2

ATO's are to scan and clear the main infiltration bridge giving us access to the airbase.
Once clear 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 are to bound toward Objective Orange(MANCHESTER).

Phase 3

1-1 will clear Objective Orange(MANCHESTER) with 1-2, 1-3 in support.
Once clear Objective Orange will be then used as a CCP and resupply depot.
4-1 will join the rest of the coy at Objective Orange(MANCHESTER)

Phase 4

1-1,1-2,1-3 will continue bounding movement toward the airbase utilising the stone farm walls and smoke from 4-1 and breach entry through the west.

Phase 5

1-1 and 4-1 will clear the Blue sector(STOKE) buildings.
1-2 and 1-3 will clear the Purple(BIRMINGHAM) sector buildings.

Phase 6

Dependent on which group has cleared the furthest, they will then be assigned to clear the Yellow(PORTSMOUTH) sector buildings.

 

 

Any and all CAS and IDF must be cleared by 10A. No munitions other than guns can be used on the airfield itself.
Any and all enemy aircraft captured must be rigged with explosives for detonation once the airbase is captured.

 

 

VI. ORDERS GROUP
Time: 2015GMT
Location: Determined by the OC

VII. CSS
Dress: DPM uniforms.
Equipment: 13AASR. Will be resupplied from HQ
Weapons: L1A1 SLR, L7A2 GPMG, L2A3 Sterling, L42A1 Sniper Rifle, Rocket 66 mm HEAT L1A1, Blowpipe MANPADS,
MILAN ATGM.
Ammo: As per SOP. Ammo will be resupplied from HQ
Meds: CTM and CSMR. Medical will be completed at HQ. 
Reinsertion: 13AASR and JHC. Reinsertion by Puma from Gold Beach to HQ or designated HLS.
POWs / Detainees: To be taken to HQ to then be taken to Gold Beach.

VIII. COMMAND AND SIGNAL
i. Command: Sgt Scarle (10A), Pte Higgins (10B), Cpl Ainsley (11C), Cpl Cullen (41A).
ii. Signals: 148/117 Channels; Plt Net Channel 1, Flight Handover Channel 2, Command Net Channel 3, Logistics Net Channel 4, Fires Net
